THIS WEEK'S letter) ARCHIVED LETTERS:
October 4, 2011
Dear Parents,
This week our religion chapter is called “We Believe in God.”
In math we are working on counting money. Be sure to continue working on their math facts. On Thursday we will have a quiz on review problems involving rounding to the thousands place. There will be some challenge problems as well.
In social studies we are studying for a test on Thursday covering geography and natural ressources. They have a study guide and rubric that went home on Monday to study the definitions that we worked on during class.
In science we are learning how animals live in their environments.
In music we are practicing the bells. We will still be working on learning rhythm this week.
In English the class is working on writing personal narratives. Last week the class wrote one as a group.
Please make sure that your students have a sweatshirt or sweater as we are going to start seeing changes in temperature during the day. I’d rather they have it and not need it then need it not have it.
Remember to send a snack for your child to help them through the morning until lunch. They do very well when they are not hungry and watching the clock for lunchtime.
