FOURTH GRADE NOTES
October 25, 2011
REMEMBER—NOON DISMISSAL TOMORROW!
Report card conferences—are this week. After school hours, please come to the middle doors.
Halloween Party—is next Monday afternoon. Children may wear a Halloween shirt.
Tuesday, Nov. 1—Is All Saints’ Day, a holy day of obligation. The children may dress as saints for morning Mass. They should have their uniform underneath.
Social Studies—We are learning about the branches of government.
Religion—We are learning how to find bible passages. Also, each student will spend time learning and writing about a saint.
Math—We have started working with fractions. We will continue to do metric units of length and work on double-digit multiplication and division of three-digit dividends.
Opportunities for giving—CASA—we will continue to collect for this through the end of the month. The class that collects the most gets pizza donated from Papa John’s. Food Drive—The Boy Scouts are collecting canned goods. Donation bins are in the hallway. Pop tabs—are being collected by Girl Scouts.
