THIS WEEK'S letter)ARCHIVED LETTERS:
Dear Parents,
We are very busy in first grade as I am sure you can tell with the work
that is being sent home. In Religion we are studying How Parents Share
Life and Love. In reading we have been working on personal narratives
and the children did a GREAT job!! I can’t wait until you read them out
in the hall. In Science and Social Studies we are working on Habitats
and the animals that live there. The children are working in pairs and
writing a small report about the habitat and the animals that live
there.
The BIG NEWS for next week is Catholic Schools Week. There should be a
copy of what is going on in your Tuesday folders. I can’t wait to see
the hats that you come up with to wear for Mr. Greg on Monday.
TUESDAY: this is our SPECIAL DAY- you get to come to the classroom at
10:00 and work with your child. You can eat lunch with them. The cost is
$2.50 per each person who wants to eat lunch. Please send a note to me
so I can let Ms. Peggy know how many extra mouths to prepare for. It is
also our 101st day of school. Your child may dress in black and white to
celebrate the day. I hope lots of you can join us.
The Book Fair is also going on at this time. It will be in the library
on our floor.
Please read the handout to find out about all of the fun for the rest of
Catholic Schools Week!
See you next week!!
